Who we are and how we work
What SnapTik does
SnapTik is a free online tool for saving public TikTok videos, sounds, photos and stories from a link. You paste the link of a post into the field on the site, and the file is saved to your phone or computer. There is no account to create and no app to install. We do not store the videos you download: a file is only held for as long as it takes to pass it to your device. SnapTik is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance.
Who writes the blog
The guides on our blog are written and maintained by the SnapTik Team, the people who build and support the downloader. Articles are published under the team name rather than a personal byline, because the guides are a shared resource that we keep up to date together.
How we write and check our guides
Every instruction about TikTok or Instagram is checked against the official TikTok Help Center and Instagram Help Center at the time of writing. When a feature depends on the app version, the region or the type of account, the guide says so instead of guessing. Illustrations in the guides are simplified schematics of the app screens, not screenshots. They show where a button or a menu item sits; the real interface changes often and may look slightly different on your device. Each guide shows the date it was first published and, after a revision, the date it was last updated.
Corrections and contact
If a step in one of our guides no longer matches the app, or you have a question about the downloader, write to us and we will look into it.
